Happy New Year! I know a lot of us are glad and relieved that 2021 is over for many reasons. At the same time it's unpredictable what 2022 will bring us. All the craziness that the world has been through since 2020 has been too much. Nevertheless, I hope that this fresh start to a new year is fill with growth and positivity.
I think everyone has many things on their mind right now. But I know one thing for certain what everyone is thinking about. The new year resolutions! I would be doing a disservice if I didn't talk about new year resolutions in this new year's blog post, right? Haha. Anyway, I came to realize that as I'm getting older, my new year resolutions became more simpler and more realistic. Wow, I guess I am getting old. But not too old yet because I still want to challenge myself a bit.
Alright, so what's my new year resolutions you may ask? Well, they're quite simple.
1. Read more books for fun!

As a college student, it may seem like there's no time to read a book for fun underneath all the textbooks for classes, but I know some wise person once told me, "if you make time for it, you will have time for it." Therefore, I want to read a book for fun and learn something new! So, please put your recommend books in the comment down below!
2. Eat more greens! (A.K.A. Healthier)

Everyone has their guilty pleasure food and mine is ramen. Processed food like ramen are high in sodium and there are no vitamins nor protein for you body. Also, my goal is to eat less carbs. Food that is high in carbs like rice especially white rice is in my list that I need to replace with a healthier version A.K.A. brown rice.
3. Drink more water

I think Asian moms are right. Water is the cure to everything. Haha. But for real, water helps your skin to stay hydrated and bright. Also, it allows your body to get rid of all the toxins inside your body. And there are many more benefits that you can check out on this website.
4. Workout

I know this one is on everyone's new year resolutions list. So, I think I know what we're all thinking. How long will it last? Well, I've been there before. But I want to challenge everyone that this year, don't aim too high. If you'd like to work out every day, let's lower it to three times a week. And if you'd like to workout three times a week like me, maybe we can lower it to one or two times a week. But one thing that I don't want you guys to aim low is your motivation to keep going. Yes, we have bad days. But, no matter what, let's keep going! I promise to do the same! Alright? Great!
5. Self care

Finally, I want to take time to take care of myself. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. No one knows you best than you do. Self care can range from treating yourself to something nice or taking a nice long walk. For me, one thing that I want to do in order to grow spiritually is to read the Bible daily. Also, I want to challenge myself to build a stronger relationship with God through daily prayer. So that being said, put yourself first when it comes to self care.
I hope that sharing my new year resolutions gave you all encouragements as well as new resolutions that you haven't thought of. But I would love to hear some of your new year resolutions so please comment down below and let me know!
I pray that this year will bring us happiness and growth. I wish you all a happy new year! Happy 2022!
